Provision of period products across Flintshire

Published

Description

Flintshire County Council is looking at going out to tender for a supplier to oversee the provision of period products across Flintshire from September 2024 to March 2025. This would include providing 78 school settings and 4 community outlets with disposable and reusable period products and running an autumn and spring reusable products online ordering avenue for young people aged 8-18 years to be delivered to their home addresses. The maximum budget for this tender would be 118,000 GBP for 2024-2025 to cover both the ordering method and the value of the products. This tender is Welsh Government grant funded. We envisage an optional two-year extension in the contract subject to funding being received by Welsh Government for 2025-2026 and 2026-2027. We would like the supplier to have in place a contract manager who can manage the account and liaise with the school and community settings to coordinate topping up stock delivery along with coordinating the online ordering for young people. This could include receiving orders from school and community settings via email / online forms set up for Flintshire settings to place orders through / phone calls to settings / online forms for young people to place orders through. This notice is enquiring if there is appetite for this model. If a supplier has any examples of working with a model such as the above or a model similar, we would be very interested to hear from you and your thoughts on this approach. Please contact Emma McIntyre to show a noted interest and any examples of working in this way by the close of Friday 14th June. Email: emma.mcintyre@flintshire.gov.uk Telephone: 07340 475028
