VIVID are the largest provider of affordable homes in Hampshire with around 70 000 customers and 30 000 homes in the South East, mainly across Hampshire and Surrey. We are in the advanced stages of pre-planning for a residential project in Basingstoke to provide up to 80 new homes. The strategic brief is to deliver a mix tenure development supplying a significant number of affordable homes. The proposed mix of property types whilst subject to change is to offer 6 maisonettes and 73 one- and two-bedroom apartments over 2 separate blocks. The strong preference is that the project utilises modular construction. VIVID would like to engage with industry to explore the use of modular construction on their Basingstoke opportunity ensuring that such an approach will deliver our project specific requirements.
