Design Skillnet invites tenders for the delivery of a Professional Diploma in UX Design and a Professional Cert in UI Design, specifically aimed at the Irish design and creative sectors. Delivery format to be predominantly online, on-demand, asynchronous, self-paced; with facility for social (peer to peer) learning and support. Start Date to be between mid Q3 and early October 2023. It is anticipated that programmes may run into end 2024. Full technical facility / support is required - delivery platform, peer learning channel (e.g. Slack). Programmes should equip participants to work professionally in UX/UI. The facility to provide programme or modules or versions thereof in-company is welcomed. Programme content should include: - Live, synchronous, introduction or "kick off" session, to take place virtually (live, real-time) via Zoom or other platform - Orientation, to orient participants as to how to navigate the learning. Topics should include - An introduction to UX/UI as applicable, design principles, design processes, designing with intent - UX: research, identifying user problems and solutions, navigation, interactions, designing for mobile, wireframes and prototypes, design patterns UI: layout, interactiveness, type, colour, effects, animations, transitions, design for different screens e.g. desktop v mobile, file-readiness for handover to developers - Portfolio support / how to present your work would also be a welcome inclusion. Assessment: An assessment(s) should be built into the programme design, such as an exam or other assessment process. To tender, please submit a proposal in pdf outlining regarding how you will meet the above criteria. The stated value of this tender is intended to cover multiple cohorts and is subject to demand. Tender assessment will be by MEAT (Most Economically Advantageous Tender).
