Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) has a requirement for Annual Routine Maintenance services. The works will include approximately 370 structures in Leinster within a four-year maintenance contract, including vegetation clearance, cleaning drainage and other maintenance of concrete, masonry and steel structures carrying and crossing national roads. The contract includes for Reactive Maintenance works to repair vehicle collision damage and other necessary works. Contract includes potential for undertaking other non-routine maintenance on the Leinster network. The project involves two distinct elements of work: • The Routine Maintenance of the 343 bridges in Year 1 in Counties Carlow, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown, Kildare, Kilkenny, Longford, Louth, Laois, Meath, Offaly, South Dublin, Westmeath, Wicklow and Wexford as set out in the Works Requirements. Routine maintenance will be carried out on all structures in Years 2 and 3 which screen out, works that do not screen out will be deferred to the following year to facilitate the completion of the stage 2 Appropriate Assessment. Maintenance works which do not screen out in Year 3 will be carried out in Year 4. The routine maintenance works will be in accordance with those set out in TII publication AM STR-06055 - EIRSPAN Bridge Management System Routine Maintenance Manual, included for reference in Volume D Additional Information and Section 4 of this specification. • Non-Routine Maintenance Works: The Contract also requires an element of Non-Routine Maintenance Works to address bridge strikes and other works which fall outside the scope of routine maintenance works. The Tender documents provides full details of the required works. The estimated value includes for all of the elements which contribute to the Comparative Cost listed in the ITT.
