This notice is an Intended Approach Notice for Specialist Reporting - Provider Selection Regime - Most Suitable Provider Process for Provision of Specialist Radiology Reporting for Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust (“The Contract Authority”)<br/>This will be published for at least 14 days - until 21st August 2024, as per the requirements of the Provider Selection Regime 2023.<br/><br/>This is to enable providers to approach the Authority and express their interest in being considered as the 'most suitable provider'. Lot 1: The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust (RNOH) is a specialised centre for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex orthopaedic conditions and cancer. <br/><br/>The Contracting Authority has a requirement for specialist remote radiology reporting of MRI / CT scans under the following patient categories:<br/>• Adult and paediatric suspected sarcoma cancer, and complex tertiary care sarcoma follow up.<br/>• Complex and specialised Paediatric scoliosis (whole spine MRIs)<br/>• Complex tertiary care paediatric orthopaedic cases (typically post-operative)<br/><br/>Historically this work has been undertaken in house at RNOH due to the skills and experience required. However, due to growing demand there is a requirement for external specialist support.<br/><br/>The Contracting Authority intends to award a single contract to a provider able to meet the requirements set out above. <br/><br/>The Contracting Authority will consider which services are able to meet the requirement. <br/><br/>Any expressions of interest or queries can be sent to stephen.marshman@nhs.net by 21st August 2024 at 5pm.<br/><br/>The proposed contract duration will be for a 1-year period, with the option to extend for a further 12 months. Additional information: This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intended approach notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.’<br/><br/>The award decision makers will be: Head of Imaging (RNOH); Operational Manager for Imaging (RNOH); Head of Contracts (RNOH)<br/><br/>The intention is to award a contract using the most suitable provider process.
