The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust (RNOH) requires the provision of a Managed Pathology Service. This managed service includes an on-site pathology laboratory with access to additional tests completed offsite, along with timely clinical advice in various specialties. With this Transparency - Prior Information Notice, RNOH wishes to inform the market of this upcoming opportunity to tender. <br/><br/>Interested suppliers are invited to access the draft specification and draft contract. During this period, suppliers will have the opportunity to:<br/>• Issue clarification questions during this engagement period (responses will be made equally available to all participating suppliers).<br/>• Visit the site on 14th August 2024.<br/>• Join a virtual MS Teams presentation on 15th August 2024.<br/>• Complete a Supplier Pre-Market Engagement Questionnaire (due 20th August 2024).<br/>• Join a One-on-one session to share/present your written feedback to RNOH (only suppliers who submit a Pre-Market Engagement Questionnaire will be invited to one-on-one sessions). <br/><br/>All feedback is required by 17:00, on 20th August 2024.<br/><br/>RNOH has the intention to undergo a competitive process conducted in accordance with The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 (“PSR 2023”). Following this market engagement, the Trust reserves the right to reconsider the options available. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 will not apply. The intention is to launch the ITT in the week commencing 9th September 2024, with responses due on 26th September 2024. All interested suppliers are strongly encouraged to engage with RNOH and the content made available during this time of market engagement (6th August 2024 – 20th August 2024).<br/><br/>The market engagement pack can be accessed via the Atamis Procurement Portal https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome<br/><br/>The planned contract term is for a ten (10) year period with the option to extend for a further two (2) years, with an estimated contract value of £24,000,000 over the 10-year term. While the pathology service commencement is required from 1st November 2025 onwards, the successful supplier's current pathology configuration and test environment must be available by 15th November 2024 and connected to our Trust integration engine in order to align to the Trust's EPR deployment timeline.<br/><br/>The managed service will be required 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and must cover the disciplines of:<br/>• Microbiology<br/>• Virology<br/>• Immunology<br/>• Cytology<br/>• Clinical Chemistry<br/>• Haematology including Coagulation<br/>• Blood Transfusion<br/><br/>In procuring these services, RNOH will act transparently, fairly, and proportionately, with a view to securing the needs of the people who use the services, improving the quality of the services, and improving efficiency in the provision of the services.
