<p>The University is establishing a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to enable the purchase of a range of power electronics equipment that will be tendered under a Lot structure on the DPS.</p> <p>The Driving the Electric Revolution (DER) is an Innovate UK (IUK) Challenge program to support UK industry to seize the economic opportunities from the global transition to clean technologies and electrification. The programme will help businesses across numerous sectors including transport, energy, construction and agriculture to invest and work together to capitalise on the UK&rsquo;s strengths in this technology.</p> <p>The DER program vision is &ldquo;To make the UK globally recognised as the centre of excellence in PEMD manufacturing processes&rdquo;.</p> <p>As part of that program, Newcastle University has been awarded a large grant to establish a new DER Innovation Centre (DER-IC) in the North East of England. The NE DER-IC will concentrate on the prototyping and scale-up of power electronics and electric motors. This advert is focussed on the power electronics aspect and the purchase of relevant equipment for that activity.</p> <p>The Power Electronics Manufacturing DPS Lots are as follows:</p> <p>1. Pick and Place &ndash; die level equipment<br />2. Pick and Place &ndash; packaged devices equipment<br />3. Die Attach &ndash; silver sinter equipment<br />4. Attach - solder equipment<br />5. Paste Dispense equipment<br />6. Screen Printing equipment<br />7. Robotic Placement equipment<br />8. Furnaces - general equipment<br />9. Encapsulation equipment<br />10. Wire Bonding and Connections equipment<br />11. Spot Welding equipment<br />12. Visual Inspection equipment<br />13. Electrical Test equipment<br />14. Material and Process Test equipment</p> <p>Suppliers must indicate which Lots they are applying by completing the relevant Technical Lot Questionnaire.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> Keywords: electronics, DPS, power
