TII430 - Luas Depots - Rooftop Solar PV Installation

National Roads Authority (NRA) operating as Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) wish to install solar PV arrays at their Luas Depots. The deployment of rooftop solar PV arrays can significantly contribute to the decarbonisation of the energy used for the operation of the Luas light rail network by replacing fossil fuel-based energy with renewable energy thus providing for a low carbon mobility solution for Dublin whilst also contributing to public sector CO₂e reduction targets for 2030. The solar PV systems shall be installed at: Broombridge-Hamilton Luas Depot, 7 Broombridge Rd, Cabra West, Dublin, D07 A978, and; Sandyford Luas Depot, Blackthorn Ave, Sandyford Business Park, Dublin, D18 Y925. A further solar PV installation at the Red Cow Luas Depot, Red Cow, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, D22 C5P3 may be progressed as an option at a later date following upgrade works at the Red Cow Depot site. The contract will include the design, supply and construction of a Solar PV array on the rooftops of Broombridge-Hamilton and Sandyford Luas Depots and all associates works as outlined in the Works Requirements. A 24month operation and maintenance period shall be carried out following completion of the works. The successful Tenderer will be appointed to carry out the duties of PSCS and PSDP for the works.
