The WEA differentiates itself from other further education institutions by reaching into communities where learners live and work, to deliver learning in surroundings where they are familiar and comfortable. The WEA is seeking construction partner(s) to deliver building projects works and refurbishment on properties within the organisation's existing estate to deliver a high-quality, inclusive and sustainable education environment. The opportunity is divided into three Lots covering the requirements in key locations in England: Bristol, Nottingham Lot 1: Lot 1 - Bristol Building project and refurbishment works relating to 7 York Court, Wilder Street, Bristol. The works involve refurbishment of the building fabric, internal reconfiguration and fitout works, installation of photovoltaics, upgrade of M&E systems, as well as external and car park works. The project has a 4-month delivery date, with delivery required by 1st July 2024. The estimated project cost is £450,000+VAT. Lot 2: Lot 2 - Nottingham Building project and refurbishment works relating to 39 Mapperley Road, Nottingham. The works involve a full strip out of the existing building, refurbishment of the building fabric, internal reconfiguration and fitout works, installation of photovoltaics, installation of external plant, and the delivery of an outdoor learning area. The project has a 3-month delivery date, with delivery required by 27th May 2024. The estimated project cost is £850,000+VAT. Lot 3: Lot 3 - Scunthorpe Building project and refurbishment works relating to Clare House, 31 Wells Street, Scunthorpe. The works involve refurbishment of the building fabric, internal reconfiguration and fitout works, demolition of an existing extension, delivery of a new two-storey extension, a new roof and new windows. The project has a 6-month delivery date, with delivery required by 2nd September 2024. The estimated project cost is £1,000,000+VAT.
