The new community and sporting facility will offer some 6296m2 of space and the intention is for the new facility to be operational from Summer 2025. The new facility will be in the heart of the community, and MBC are looking for an organisation to bring this new facility to life and provide benefit to the community. A successful planning consent was achieved in December 2022 and details of the planning application, drawings and design statement are contained in Appendix C. Interested parties’ attention is drawn to the planning conditions for the new sporting and community facility and they must operate the new facility in line with the conditions imposed. The Council are interested to hear from suitably experienced organisations who can manage and maintain the building in a way that will benefit the whole community. The Council require that all tenders provide detailed information regarding the day-to-day operation of the building (including details of opening hours), planned activities / use, and will need to show full understanding of compliance with health and safety and all other statutory regulations.
