A Contract will be let by Mid Ulster District Council and Fermanagh and Omagh District Council. The Council/Councils has/have a statutory obligation to collect and dispose residual and bulky wastes that have arisen from both household kerbside collections and household recycling centres within the district area. The purpose of this Contract is to provide a treatment service for Contract Waste which has historically been sent to landfill. This is to ensure the Council/Councils comply with the legislative requirements of the EU Waste Framework Directive and the EU Landfill Directive, in respect of household recycling targets and reduction in municipal to landfill. Lot 1: Household Kerbside Residual Waste – Magherafelt (Magherafelt WTS) A Contract will be let by Mid Ulster District Council and Fermanagh and Omagh District Council. The Council/Councils has/have a statutory obligation to collect and dispose residual and bulky wastes that have arisen from both household kerbside collections and household recycling centres within the district area. The purpose of this Contract is to provide a treatment service for Contract Waste which has historically been sent to landfill. This is to ensure the Council/Councils comply with the legislative requirements of the EU Waste Framework Directive and the EU Landfill Directive, in respect of household recycling targets and reduction in municipal to landfill.
