Mid Ulster District Council is seeking tenders for a contractor to develop and deliver a PEACEPLUS funded Youth Entrepreneurship programme for Mid Ulster District Council. The purpose of this specification is to set out the scope, minimum standards, service requirements, performance, and all other obligations that the Council requires of the Contractor when delivering this programme contract. This is a dedicated cross community Youth Entrepreneurship programme for all Post Primary Schools in the district focusing on year 8 age group. The programme will support young people to: • Build the resilience and confidence of young people • Develop resilience in young people via entrepreneur skills – confidence building, selling, leadership, time management etc. • Develop friendships among young people through shared engagement • Advance young peoples knowledge and understanding of leadership qualities • Build shared engagement between diverse schools through development of leadership and building resilience • A total of 450 young people engaged over a 3 year period. The programme will build the young people’s knowledge and understanding of leadership qualities while supporting them to build friendships and contribute to a prosperous and peaceful society.
