Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) are currently gathering information to inform a future tender for supply of timber for live fire training for firefighters. This prior information notice is to signal an intention to engage with the market using a Market Insights Questionnaire. The purpose of the Market Insights Questionnaire is to assess levels of interest, to gain a better understanding of the market and to invite views, ideas and feedback on HFRS's requirements. Responses to questions within the questionnaire will inform any future tender. HFRS invites responses from all potential suppliers of timber. There is no requirement to complete all questions contained within the document however any information you could provide will help HFRS to make better informed decisions. Registration and completion of the questionnaire does not constitute an expression of interest in any future tender. Responses will not be used to evaluate your company, create a short-list or guarantee inclusion or exclusion in any resulting tender exercise. Interested parties can view and submit the Market Insights Questionnaire for this project via HFRS's e-tendering portal In-Tend: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/hampshire/. The Market Insights Questionnaire must be submitted via In-Tend correspondence by no later than 5pm on the 22nd February 2021. If your organisation is not registered on the Hampshire In-Tend portal, please go to the website stated above and click on the 'Register' tab - registration is free. Logging into In-Tend (once registered) - To view this opportunity, please click on 'Tenders' then 'Current' and scroll down to the project 'HF16017 Supply of Timber for Live Fire Training'. Alternatively, you can search the project reference 'HF16017' in the Search Bar. - Select 'View Details' on the relevant opportunity. - Click the 'Express Interest' tab. - Follow the on-screen instructions. - More information is available via the Synopsis button. Lot 1: Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service require the supply of timber to be used for live fire training exercises for firefighters. The timber is burned to simulate the conditions experienced during various fire situations. The wood required will be formaldehyde low or free Oriented Strand Board Type 3 (OSB3) cut to the sizes designed to fit the training equipment. Delivery will be required to training sites in or around Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, ideally within 3-days of order placement or in some cases the same-day. Additional information: Hampshire County Council are procuring on behalf of Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.
