Description

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service is preparing to publish a procurement for the supply of 2 incident command units, 1 medium and 1 small. The purpose of this notice is to invite suppliers to a market engagement day to be held on 22.10.2019 at Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service in Eastleigh and to alert the market of this opportunity in preparation for the contract notice being issued and allow interested parties to register on the authorities free e-tendering portal (In-Tend). To book your place at the market engagement event or register your interest in this procurement, please complete and email the market engagement supplier registration document to procurement.partners@hants.gov.uk before midday on 21.10.2019. Once you have registered your company on In-Tend, the document will be available to download directly from the project, reference — HF10421 held in the In-Tend portal. Details on how to register for In-Tend are available in Section VI.3) Additional Information. The authority recognises that not all the elements that make up the completed units may be available from 1 single provider and will require the bodybuilder and connectivity and/or communication providers to work together to design, build and deliver the best complete solution. The engagement event will provide an opportunity for suppliers to find out more about this procurement. The authority invites the market to share its experience and view of the use of a design phase and/or output specification within a procurement. Please use the market engagement supplier registration document to submit your response by email to: procurement.partners@hants.gov.uk HFRS are looking to replace two existing command units with 2 new and technologically advanced fully operational emergency response vehicles/incident command units, which will require on-going maintenance and support. Both units need to be carefully designed to limit the overall size due to the nature of the infrastructure and remote locations that HFRS serves. Consortia applications and partner arrangements are encouraged and this could be led either by a vehicle bodybuilder or IT solution/communications provider. Part of the build shall include the supply of free issued IT equipment by Hampshire Fire and Rescue for installation and connectivity into the new Incident Command Unit — medium unit only. This equipment will be removed and disconnected from the current unit by the supplier who installed it originally. If you would like to attend the supplier engagement event to held on 22.10.2019, please register for the opportunity within the In-Tend portal, details of which are covered in VI.3) Additional Information.
