Introduction Derry City and Strabane District Council (DCSDC) provide a range of corporate services, festivals and events throughout the City and district with the aim of delivering “improved social, economic and environmental outcomes for everyone”. Council set out its priorities in the Corporate Plan 2018/19 and Performance Improvement Plan 2018/19. The marketing function of DCSDC focuses on the following key tasks: • Strategic Marketing Planning, Campaign Development and Delivery (including media planning, buying and evaluation) across all Council directorates including festival and events. • Design/Publication and Graphic Design (including brand development and management). • Social Media and Digital Engagement (including content development, platform and reputation management, website). For more information on DCSDC visit www.derrystrabane.com The marketing department manages a number of social media platforms, across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and LinkedIn. Specification DCSDC is seeking tender submissions for the provision of Digital Marketing support on an adhoc campaign-by-campaign basis throughout the year. Working alongside the Councils marketing team, the key requirement would be to design, develop and deliver a comprehensive digital marketing campaign on both a local, national and international level for Council’s key festival and events and on a local level for the Council’s key services. The successful provider will be required to generate and develop paid, owned and earned content along with providing digital marketing support across a number of platforms, including (but not limited to): • Social Media: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Snapchat • YouTube • PPC / Google Adwords, Search and Display • Re-marketing / re-targeting • Search Engine Optimisation • Analytics • Email Marketing Based on the above requirements, the scope of works required under this tender include: • Support the delivery of marketing campaigns with digital marketing activities. • Design, develop and implement content for all digital marketing platforms in varies formats, such as graphic, video, gifs, memes etc. Ensuring that online voice for each campaign compliments brand guidelines. • Create and monitor paid digital promotions across all platforms (paid search, display, social media adverts etc). • Work closely with the marketing team on strategy, design, objectives, performance and reports. • Identify opportunities and trends in order to maximise campaign effectiveness. • Identify and commission relevant online influencers as per strategy. Please note that a digital marketing budget will be assigned for paid online advertising per campaign and will be managed through the Council’s existing accounts such as Facebook Business Manager and Google Adwords. The marketing team currently use a social media management tool for reporting and will therefore not require an additional service for this. DCSDC are looking to appoint one main successful provider while keeping up to 2 other successful applications on a reserve list. Please note: Council advise the prospective suppliers that this tender is based on the availability of budget and Council reserve the right to purchase all, some or none of the Services detailed within this document.
