Die Ausschreibung dient der Erfüllung der gesetzlich vorgeschriebenen Prüfpflicht für Laborabzüge und Gefahrstoffschränke sowie notwendiger Wartungsarbeiten an diesen Gewerken. Die Universität verfügt über entsprechende Anlagen an knapp 55 Standorten der Universität in Erlangen, Fürth und Nürnberg. Die Anlagen werden von rund 115 Einrichtungen der FAU in etwa 720 (Labor)räumen genutzt.
