East Lancashire's Levelling Up Fund (LUF)

Lancashire County Council has been awarded a Levelling Up Fund (LUF) for various schemes and projects to support economic growth and job creation in East Lancashire as well as improving the health of Lancashire residents. The LUF programme will cover various schemes including themed interventions in East Lancashire focussing on safer, greener, healthier streets, and accessible and vibrant town centres. The four districts of East Lancashire to benefit from the programme of work include Burnley, Hyndburn, Rossendale and Pendle. It is proposed that the tender will be split into 4 Lots based on these geographical areas. The estimated value of the works is £25m split across the 4 Lots. Lot 1: East Lancashire's Levelling Up Fund - Burnley The Levelling Up Fund works in the Burnley area include provision and development of an accessible and vibrant town centre project and work to develop and offer safer, greener, healthier streets for the local residents. The safer, greener, healthier streets projects for this area will encourage walking and cycling for short journeys and offer connectivity to public transport whilst encouraging people to incorporate physical activity into their daily routines. The accessible and vibrant town centre project will improve the town centre area of Burnley for residents and visitors from the surrounding communities. Additional information: Lancashire County Council will hold supplier information sessions at County Hall, Preston and invite suppliers who may be interested in tendering for one or more of the Lots for East Lancashire's Levelling Up Fund to County Hall, to hear more information about the projects to be tendered. The supplier information sessions will take place on: Wednesday 18th September PM and Thursday 19th September AM. Interested suppliers need only attend one briefing. Due to the limited number of places available, we are able to accept a maximum of 2 attendees per organisation. Lot 2: East Lancashire's Levelling Up Fund - Hyndburn The Levelling Up Fund works in the Hyndburn area of East Lancashire include provision and development of safer, greener, healthier streets for the local residents.
