Babcock, acting at the Authority's agent, is considering awarding a contract for: The repair of 15kW Electrical Control Units (ECUs), Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Units, Tactical Base Ablution Units (TBAU), containerised Refrigeration Equipment, Pump Pressurisation Units and the supply of containerised equipment spares. It is MoD's Intention to make items available at an Industry Day for this requirement. Suppliers interested in this opportunity are invited to express their interest to attend this day, via email, to mena.gosling-hughes@babcockinternational.com. Attendance is limited to 2 representatives per company. There is no guarantee of any contract coming into force as a result of this Prior Information Notice. Annual inspections and periodic checks, as required by legislation, to enable the continued use of the equipment. The equipment provides the necessary facilities to maintain an acceptable living and working environment within camp accommodation and can be biased towards heating or cooling, depending upon ambient conditions. The equipment is supplied for operations in temperate climates. The requirement is to maintain OIP equipment in a serviceable condition to meet HQ Army Operational Requirements. The TBAU is designed for use at Tactical Operating Bases. It provide toilet, shower and washing facilities for up to 30 personnel with a surge capacity capable of supporting an additional 20 personnel for up to seven consecutive days. It is a self contained system that does not require external connection to power, water or waste infrastructure. It is powered by a combined heat and power unit which runs a generating system. It is a rapidly deployable system designed for transportation within a standard 20ft ISO shipping container or a DROPS rack. It is also fitted with multiple lifting points for air lifting. The repairs are to maintain OIP equipment in a servicable condition to meet HQ Army Operational Requirements. To provide the annual inspections and periodic checks, as required by legislation, to enable the continued use of refrigeration equipment units. The units are converted 20ft ISO containers. An internal electric powered AC unit adjusts and maintains the temperature. The internal temperature is displayed on an external panel and a HI/LO alarm system activates audio and visual alarm units if the internal temperature varies from operator adjusted limits. The units are also equipped with level indicators, an escape hatch, internal lighting, a trapped person alarm, earthing spike, circuit protection devices and a fire extinguisher. The repairs are to maintain OIP equipment in a serviceable condition to meet HQ Army Operational Requirements. The role of the Pump Pressurisation Units (PPU) is to provide clean pressurised water circulation around the kitchen, laundry and ablution facilities of military camps. The PPU consists of a converted ISO container housing two electrically driven pumps, an accumulator vessel, inlet and outlet pipe work and associated valves and electrical control systems. The PPU is intended to be in constant use and is fitted with float valves to prevent the pumps running dry in the event that the water supply should be inadvertently cut off. The repairs are to maintain OIP equipment in a servicable condition to meet HQ Army Operational Requirements. The supply of various containerised equipment spares.
