Removal & Recycling of MGS Buoy at Holyhead

Published

Description

The MGS-1 buoy was used for the commissioning of Minesto’s DG500 technology during the summer of 2018 and 2019. Its purpose was to house the equipment, acting as a micro grid for Minesto’s Deep Green technology. The MGS-1 was moored in Holyhead Deep in the Irish Sea The buoy would not be a viable option to operate with Minesto’s next generation of kites, therefore, the MGS buoy is no longer needed and is to be scrapped.
