Description

BFET are inviting responses to a Preliminary Market Consultation (PMC) Questionnaire to gauge market interest for a future procurement of fully managed on site school catering and cleaning services across the multi academy trust. Please note this is not a formal tender process at this stage. Decisions relating to the lotting strategy of the future procurement will be taken as a result of this PMC Exercise. The purpose of this PIN and PMC is to: — provide an opportunity for the market to comment and submit suggestions prior to launch of formal tender process, — inform the proposed procurement strategy and specification. The estimated annual value of this future procurement is likely to exceed 1 000 000 GBP with approximately 67 % of this value attributable to the catering services and 33 % attributable to the cleaning service. The term and possible extensions to any contract awarded as a result of a future procurement in relation to this PIN has yet to be decided. BFET is seeking expressions of interest from potential service providers who can offer either, or both, of the following for primary, secondary and special schools: 1) Fully managed onsite school catering service; 2) Fully managed school cleaning service. The 6 schools currently in scope for this future procurement within BFET are as follows: Manchester: — Cedar Mount Academy (secondary) and Melland High School (secondary special), — Rushbrook Primary Academy, — Stanley Grove Primary Academy. Blackpool: — South Shore Academy (Secondary School), — Marton Primary Academy, — BFETs current catering and cleaning contract expiry dates vary by school. The likely start date for any contract awarded as a result of a future procurement would be 1.9.2020 for the Blackpool schools initially, with the Manchester schools likely to be incorporated within Q4 2020. Interested parties should note that TUPE would apply to any contracts awarded under any future procurement in relation to this PIN.
