Consultancy Services for Data Governance Operating Model at Ordnance Survey - AWARD
Published
Description
Ordnance Survey (OS) has appointed an external Supplier to help OS, design and implement a new data governance operating model to provide the controls, processes, and ways of working to meet more complex requirements for our geospatial information. This is to include a focus on interoperability to ensure OS' location data can be integrated within virtual data infrastructures to empower automated decision-making and analytics. The work is to be completed by the Supplier across two stages which are: o Stage 1 - Identify and recommend a data governance operating model and roadmap to this operating model for OS. Stage 1 will involve the following parts: - Part 1 - Initial assessment to identify current OS data governance maturity. - Part 2 - Compare OS's existing data governance model with applicable data governance frameworks OS could adopt and provide a recommendation. - Part 3 - Develop and design a data governance operating model and roadmap to this operating model for OS. - Part 4 - Propose a costed plan for the implementation of the data governance operating model in line with agreed stakeholder requirements from Parts 1 to 3 above. o Stage 2 - Support the execution of an implementation plan for the data governance and operating model for OS that is iterative and scalable. The Supplier will be awarded a contract to support with Stage 1 of the scope outlined above. Following the completion of Stage 1, the Supplier will be invited to submit a cost to support OS with Stage 2 of the scope outlined above. OS reserves the right to either extend the delivery of the Services to the Supplier to support with Stage 2 or to not extend the Services to the Supplier to support with Stage 2 and seek an alternative approach for implementing the data governance and operating model. OS does not provide any assurance to the Supplier that the Supplier will be engaged to deliver Stage 2 of the Services. The decision for the Supplier to support on Stage 2 will be at the sole discretion of OS. Stage 1 of the Services will commence in April 2024. The value of Stage 1 is ?148,400. The overall total contract value (if Stage 2 was to be agreed) has been set at a maximum value of up to ?450,000. This total contract value is not guaranteed.
