Description

This procurement is focused on the health and wellbeing of the region's employees, via their employers, offering a digital solution that drives behavioural changes towards healthy lifestyles, which helps to prevent health and wellbeing issues that may lead to economic inactivity and ultimately contributes towards improved productivity for the West Midlands region. We are aiming to procure a digital solution that will: .1 support wellbeing commitments from employees such as smoking cessation, dietary improvements, increases in physical activity, sleep management etc. .2 and be deliverable via approximately 200 employers, reaching approximately 200,000 employees across the West Midlands .3 We are aiming to ensure that fewer people become unwell and fewer workdays are lost due to illness; research by Deloitte suggests that a 1% reduction in lost workdays across 200,000 employees would boost the local economy by at least £90m per year. Lot 1: The purpose of this procurement specification is to outline the requirements for a comprehensive digital health solution that focuses on promoting holistic wellbeing among employees. This solution should include a diagnostic tool to assess individual health and wellness needs and incorporate personalised behaviour change programmes. The aim is to enhance employees' physical and mental wellbeing, ultimately leading to improved life satisfaction, job satisfaction and productivity. The objectives of the digital health solution are as follows: • provide employees with a user-friendly digital solution that offers holistic health and wellbeing resources; • offer a diagnostic tool that assesses employees' current health status and tailors the recommendations accordingly; • deliver personalised behaviour change programmes that cater to individual needs, promoting healthier lifestyles; • encourage employee engagement and participation through interactive features and motivational content; and • collect and analyse anonymised data to track the overall impact of the solution on employee wellbeing in order to support employer feedback and decision making. We are looking for the following key features: • behavioural change programmes that are built on a strong foundation of robust (academic, clinical, peer-reviewed) evidence; • cloud-based storage and cross-platform compatibility (web, mobile) for optimum accessibility; • and demonstrable return-on-investment for employers' improved understanding of their employees' health and wellbeing.
