The Learning Team delivers outdoor educational programmes across various open spaces in the City of London, with a core focus on serving schools and youth groups. The primary individuals responsible for making bookings are typically busy professionals, such as teachers, school administrators, or youth group leaders. The programmes on offer encompass a range of hands-on, nature-based learning activities, including pond dipping, habitat exploration, orienteering, and eco-art, designed to foster a deeper connection with the natural environment. Currently, the team relies on manual processes for managing bookings and invoicing, involving extensive email correspondence, which places a significant demand on staff time. Booking requests are logged into an Excel spreadsheet, creating a heightened risk of human error and inefficiency.
