Description
The public sector anchor institutions of Exeter (Exeter City Council, University of Exeter, Exeter College, Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS FT) wish to work collaboratively to find a city-wide low carbon energy solution that is cost effective and resilient. Our organisations have made commitments through a Civic Partnership Agreement to deliver a net zero solution for the city by 2030, commitments which are aligned to national government driven decarbonisation targets. All low carbon technologies are in-scope In this exercise although we are particularly interested in district heating solutions. The current combined energy consumption of the partners in-scope is estimated to be around 60 GWH per annual. Lot 1: The stakeholder group are interested in hearing from existing or new energy companies working in the sustainable energy sector how a system approach to delivering low carbon heat could be applied to Exeter. The current combined energy consumption of the partners in-scope is estimated to be around 60 GWH per annual. The group would welcome a short document of no more than 4 pages of A4 identifying: 1. The potential for a city-wide low carbon energy solution, 2. A statement supporting why the technology is likely to represent good value for money to the tax-payer 3. Estimated timescales for delivery of your approach 4. The operational longevity of your approach and ability to retrofit emerging technologies to it 5. The typical financial models you use to deliver schemes 6. Your organisations experience and skill in developing and implementing a solution to this challenge. Interested parties should submit their document via the University of Exeter CTM portal as a response to project ref: DHN - 001. Additional information: This Prior Information Notice is published on behalf of the below key stakeholders Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust: Barrack Rd, Exeter Exeter College: Hele Rd, Exeter Exeter City Council: Paris St, Exeter Devon County Council: Topsham Rd, Exeter
