Description

The Local Government Mutual Limited (“LGM”) is a Discretionary Mutual. Membership is restricted to authorities who are members of the LGA. LGM has been created to provide its members with an alternative route to purchase their insurance requirements. Insurance purchased by LGM for the exposure above the mutual retention (though to the limit of cover) will be on master policy (per class/lot/layer) in the name of the members. Class specific excess drop down, and cross class aggregate insurance, will be in the name of LGM. Where there is no mutual retention, there will be a requirement for insurance on a group up basis. This procurement will be open to all eligible insurance capacity providers. Insurance brokerage and other associated services will not form part of any procurement process. Brokerage and associated services will not form part of the subject matter of any subsequent procurement.
