N72 Fossa Traffic Calming and Enhanced Cyclist and Pedestrian Improvement Scheme

Description

The scheme is located on the N72 National Secondary road in the village of Fossa. The overall length of the proposal, commencing West of the N72 / R563 junction at the Golden Nugget Bar and Restaurant to East of N72 L4040 Gap Cross junction is 1.574km. The works comprise of varying depths of pavement inlays, widening and extension of raised cyclist and pedestrian facilities and both sides of the carriageway, reduction in carriageway width, pavement improvement works, Soft Landscaping, drainage, extension of Public Lighting, kerblines, ironworks, road markings, pedestrian crossings and provision of landscape features. The works also comprise of the construction of a Shared surfaced plaza within the Centre of the village.
