A total of 595 devices for use by children and staff in a trust of primary schools. Requirements for 3 separate device styles within the 595 total number. Lot 1: A total of 595 devices for use by children and staff in a trust of primary schools. Requirements for 3 separate device styles within the 595 total number: Cornerstone Academy Trust runs Broadclyst, Monkerton, Westclyst and Yeo Valley Primary Schools. Our schools create and promote a challenging learning environment that inspires children to achieve high standards and become life-long learners. The Trust has high expectations, builds children's confidence, and ensures success for all. We seek to foster creative thinkers, inquisitive questioners, and avid problem solvers with flexible skills, who are successful communicators. Children learn to collaborate effectively at all levels, including working with our international partners and are able to adapt to the needs of a diverse and fast changing society. We aim for pupils to have opportunities to use ICT as an integral part of their learning across the curriculum and in a wide range of contexts. We aim for the use of ICT to have a clear impact in improving pupils' learning. Pupils should attain increasingly high levels of confidence and independence to apply and develop their use of ICT as they move through the school. We aim to provide opportunities for pupils to make regular, informed decisions about when and how to use ICT and for them to have high expectations about using ICT to support their learning both within and beyond the school. Specifically, and in line with our mission statement, we aim for pupils to use ICT to improve significantly their creativity and their ability to investigate, solve problems, refine their work, learn from their mistakes, collaborate with others and reflect critically on their learning. We aim for pupils to adopt consistently safe practices in their use of ICT both in school and elsewhere. They should apply their knowledge, skills and understanding to ensure safe and effective use of a wide range of digital resources and adapt these to new and emerging technologies. Up until this time we have deployed over 700 devices devices to children across the four schools in the Trust in Years 1 to 6. We are widening our 1:1 device programme to include children of reception age for the first time, meaning 200 of the required devices will be used by these youngsters. We are also replacing three year old devices used by year 5 and 6 students, as well as procuring devices for two of our growing schools; Westclyst Primary School will open its first Year 5 group in September 2021 (it opened in 2016) and Monkerton Primary School will have its first Year 1 next year, having opened as a new school in September 2020. On top of this there is the need to replace several staff devices and additional student devices across other year groups. The DfE and delivery partners have identified Broadclyst Primary School as one of a very small number of schools and colleges which have demonstrated excellence in their use of technology to support teaching and learning and have the capacity to help others. These schools and colleges represent a wide range of contexts, from rural to urban and primary to further education and include several Trusts with special needs provision. Demonstrator Schools and Colleges will offer packages of support, including guidance, online tutorials, webinars and recorded content. Advice and training will be available to schools and colleges across the country which are most in need of support, for example those which have recently deployed a new online learning platform and those with the most disadvantaged learners.
