One of the Scottish Sentencing Council’s statutory objectives is to promote greater awareness and understanding of sentencing policy and practice. Therefore, the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service (SCTS), on behalf of The Scottish Sentencing Council, has a requirement to commission a Nationally Representative Survey in respect of Public Perceptions of Sentencing by SCTS.
