Flood Remediation and Energy Upgrade Works at Askeaton Pool and Leisure Centre, Askeaton, Co. Limerick

The Works Consists flood protection works and sustainability upgrades, including provision of onsite LPG supply, to plant in the plant rooms and service yard of the existing Public Pool located in Askeaton, Co. Limerick, Ireland. It is envisaged that the following elements will be undertaken under the project, please note this list is not exhaustive or representative of the order of importance: a) Construction of impermeable concrete raised platform within three plantrooms consisting of a new base slab, perimeter walls and suspended concrete floor to raise floor levels above flood level. b) Raise access doors serving the plant rooms. c) Widen one door serving the main plant room. d) Construct steel raised gantry walkway in the service yard to access raised doors. e) Replacement of boilers, AHUs and other Mechanical and Electrical upgrades within the building. f) Provision of a new LPG tank to fuel replacement boilers. g) Construction of external raised steel platform to raise heat exchangers above flood level. h) Raise ground levels locally at raised access door on side elevation. i) Installation of PV array and new fall arrest system on roof. j) Replacing non-return valves to storm water outlets on the river wall. k) New internal draught lobby.
