Im Rahmen der Serviceleistungen und Instandsetzungen des Fuhrparks führen die Werkstätten des LZPD die Wartungen und Reparaturen aus. Hierzu werden fortlaufend Schmierstoffe mit unterschiedlichen Spezifikationen und Herstellerfreigaben und in unterschiedlichen Gebindegrößen benötigt. An einigen Standorten ist die Anlieferung von bestimmten, gängigen Motorölen als lose Ware erforderlich. Zudem ist die fortlaufende Versorgung mit Harnstoff-Lösung nach ISO 22241 (Handelsname "AdBlue") und in geringen Mengen mit weiteren Kraftstoffzusätzen erforderlich. Bei den Kraftfahrzeugen ist zu berücksichtigen, dass Pkw, Kraftomnibusse, LKW und Motorräder unterschiedlicher Hersteller betreut werden.
