Powys Teaching Health Board (referenced to from here on in as PTHB) are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to provide the Service and Maintenance of Medical Devices across the Health Board. The Health Board require a fully comprehensive package to be provided by winning supplier- a detailed breakdown of the requirement is included within the Specification document that accompanies this Invitation to Tender. Due to the geographical nature of Powys Teaching Health Board, the medical devices team are looking to utilise a Central Hub Model within this contract where the successful bidder is able to utilise an area provided within the Health Board for the consolidation of activity where possible/required. The term of the contract will be 2 years with an option to extend, at the sole discretion of the Contracting Authority, for two additional 12 month periods. The Health Board require a fully comprehensive package to be provided by winning supplier- a detailed breakdown of the requirement is included within the Specification document that accompanies this Invitation to Tender. Powys Teaching Health Board recognises the importance of the Welsh language to the communities it serves. Consequently, responses to an invitation to quote or tender will be accepted in Welsh as well as English. However, please note that tender responses submitted only in Welsh will be translated by the Health Board into English before consideration. Those involved in translating the document will be barred from taking decisions on awarding tenders. The tender will be awarded to the most economically advantageous tender based on 40% quality and 60% cost as detailed in the ITT document.
