The Greater Manchester local authorities have formed a network of air quality monitoring stations to share information and resources between the 10 boroughs of Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan. The network is referred to as the Greater Manchester Air quality Network (GMAQN). There is also the option for Transport for Greater Manchester to be part of this network and utilise this contract. The GMAQN is seeking to appoint suitable contractors to provide a flexible, responsive and consistently high quality service in relation to the servicing, maintenance, quality assurance & control (QA/QC) and data management of their reference automatic air quality monitoring units and other related support services. The successful contractor appointed for the Lot 1 - GMAQN equipment servicing and maintenance contract will be known as the Equipment Support Unit (ESU). The successful contractor appointed for the Lot 2 - GMAQN data management and ratification contract will be known as Greater Manchester Management Control Unit (GMMCU). Lot 1: Lot 1 - GMAQN equipment servicing and maintenance contract will be known as the Equipment Support Unit (ESU). Lot 1: Equipment Servicing & Maintenance, to include: Regular, routine equipment servicing and maintenance including parts and consumables; Non-routine maintenance and breakdown repairs (emergency callout) including parts and consumables; Supply of calibration gases on request from the relevant local authority; Routine servicing and maintenance of air conditioning units including emergency callout; Annual inspection of fire extinguishers and supply of new fire extinguishers if required; Annual testing of portable electrical equipment; Testing of fixed electrical equipment on request from the relevant local authority. Lot 2: Lot 2 - GMAQN data management and ratification contract will be known as Greater Manchester Management Control Unit (GMMCU). Lot 2: Data Management & Ratification, to include: Data collection and scaling; Data dissemination; QA/QC inter calibration and site audits; Data ratification and validation; Reporting.
