Essex County Fire and Rescue Service, trading as Essex Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Fire and Rescue Authority (the 'Authority'), is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified organisations to participate in an early market engagement process with the view of assessing the market's ability and capacity for the design and installation of a Working at Height Training Rig at the Authority's Witham Fire Station Training Centre (29 Hatfield Rd, Witham CM8 1EG). The Authority's core technical requirements are listed below as follows: • The contractor will be responsible for designing, manufacturing, and installing a Working at Height training rig, which must be suitable both for internal and external use; • The training rig is to be installed at the Authority's Training Centre located at 29 Hatfield Road, Witham, CM8 1EG; • The training rig must be capable of carrying up to twelve (12) trainee fire fighters at any one time; • The training rig must be designed and manufactured to all current relevant UK and EU safety standards; and • The contractor will be required to start on site late September 2022 with a target completion date of late December 2022. The estimated budget envelope for the delivery of all technical requirements is £40,000. The Authority will also reserve the right to hold virtual market engagement meetings with those suppliers who are able to meet the core technical requirements outlined in this Notice. This will enable the Authority's Property Services Team to obtain further details on technical, financial and programme delivery matters. Please kindly be advised that the publication of this Early Engagement Notice document in no way commits the Authority or any of its advisers, contractors and/or agents to commence any subsequent procurement exercise to award any contract.
