Pilot Launch Crew Training – Development of Delivery Standards and Requirements

To deliver a clear and compliant structure/framework to the roles and responsibilities of each launch crew role. To deliver the supporting documentation/standards and assessment process and criteria to deliver and maintain the new training structure in a standardised format which can be implemented and delivered through a combination of external and internal training provision. Without achieving the deliverables, the port risks deteriorating standards in the competence and capabilities of its launch crews to operate the pilotage service in the extent and range of conditions required to support the external stakeholders. A revised training structure will support a greater ability for the port to review, audit compliance with requirements and to provide assurances both internally and externally that the port continue to provide excellence in the service with suitably qualified and trained staff.
