Network Rail are looking to engage with the market, prior to issuing a tender for the provision of scrap metal skips nationally. Network Rail receive a vast array of metal and cable commodities from all over the infrastructure and require a number of efficient and compliant suppliers to support to ensure a smooth operation and provide an excellent service to our customers. Network Rail will be looking for suppliers in a number of geographical lots with permitted tipping facilities, for example - Scotland, North East, North West, East Midlands & Anglia, West Midlands, South West, Home Counties, and Wales. Network Rail look to dispose of material at the closest disposal location to site, unless it is more economically advantageous to go to a site further away. A response to the questionnaire below would be welcomed from potential suppliers. For the avoidance of doubt no information provided in response to this questionnaire will be used by Network Rail in assessing providers during any procurement process.
