LA3007C - TCD - RFT for the Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning and Validation of a Jet Fuel Thermal Oxidation Stability Tester

Published

Description

Tenders are sought for the supply and delivery of a Jet Fuel Thermal Oxidation Stability Tester for Trinity College Dublin (TCD). A state-of-the-art instrument (or suite of instruments) is required to perform quantification and analysis of the thermal oxidation stability of liquid fuels, including petroleum distillates, crude oils, and fuels from experimental synthetic processes. This analysis is generally conducted in accordance with standards relevant to aviation fuel, such as those outlined in ASTM D4054 for the qualification of new aviation turbine fuels. Thermal Stability is a critical test used to assess jet fuel suitability for aviation operational safety and regulatory compliance. The equipment used to perform this analysis MUST adhere to the standard testing methodologies specified in ASTM D3241 (and its annexes) and/or IP 323. The test results should provide insight into fuel performance during gas turbine operation by evaluating the level of deposits formed when liquid fuel contacts a heated surface at a specified temperature.
