The scope of the services is from initial customer contact to capturing the application form to executing claims processing, and finally to effecting a decision and payment. In summary they can be described as: Customer Contact — as described in Section 5.1 of Market Sounding Briefing Document, Printing/Scanning — the electronic capturing and distribution of paper applications, Claims Processing — which includes: Identity Verification — validation of eligibility and verification of identity of the claimant, Data Gathering — ensuring all the required information is available to enable assessment of the claim, Assessment — reviewing the information to determine validity of the claim, Quantification — determining the level of compensation, Review — independently verifying the assessment/quantification and the supporting evidence, Decision and Payment — authorising the payment and effecting it (electronically or by cheque).
