The proposed contract will provide a mechanism for the provision of additional services. It is proposed to use the NEC 4 Term Service contract which allows services to be provided continuously over the contract period and/or on an additional task by task call-off basis, therefore providing the Authority with flexibility as to the quantities of Works ordered (as long as the FTS value is sufficient). The contract manager will ensure that the proposed contract is regularly benchmarked to confirm continued Value for Money. Lot 1: The proposed contract will provide a mechanism for the provision of additional services. It is proposed to use the NEC 4 Term Service contract which allows services to be provided continuously over the contract period and/or on an additional task by task call-off basis, therefore providing the Authority with flexibility as to the quantities of Works ordered (as long as the FTS value is sufficient). The contract manager will ensure that the proposed contract is regularly benchmarked to confirm continued Value for Money. The proposed contract will include the following service area provisions: - - Fault attendance and maintenance at all Tunnel electrical and mechanical systems and related infrastructure and systems which includes: - EPCMS and PLC maintenance, hardware and software - Rotating Plank Signs (RPS) and all associated cabling, interconnections and network communications - Pump maintenance - UPS Maintenance - Generator Maintenance - Jet Fab Maintenance - A470 North Rd Lane Control System - Periodic inspections. - Electrical Testing to BS7671. - Fault Management and Asset Management. - Supply / Installation of Equipment (if required). - Design / Modelling Service (if required) The proposed contract will be for a 3-year term with an option to extend for a further 12 months depending on Contractor performance in the first 3-years. This process is intended to inform the Council’s understanding of the market and is not part of a formal procurement process. Should the Council decide to proceed, a formal procurement process may follow at a later date.
