Description

Gloucester City Council (the Authority) is herby giving prior notice that it intends to invite tenders from suitable partners, who wish to be considered to manage and operate the Authority’s Leisure Services, in the new year. The Authority is aiming to publish the FTS (Find a Tender Service) notice (with information on how to access full tender documentation on the 12th February 2024). Within the scope of the upcoming opportunity, although to be managed by the successful operator under separate contracts with the relevant organisations, are leisure facilities under the control of University of Gloucestershire (UoG) and Blackbridge Charitable Community Benefit Society (Blackbridge CCBS), collectively referred to as the Authority’s “partners” within documents to follow. The Authority is expecting to utilise the Competitive Procedure with Negotiation procedure. Lot 1: The Contract is for the operation of the Authority-owned leisure facilities: GL1 and Oxtalls Sports Park. The Contract also includes the design and delivery of a new neighbourhood-based service. Also included within the scope of the procurement, but subject to separate contractual arrangements with third parties, are University of Gloucestershire’s sports facilities including Oxstalls Arena (under a dual use agreement with UoG) and the planned Blackbridge Community and Sports Hub (under a lease with Blackbridge CCBS).
