This PIN notice is intended to provide early engagement with interested suppliers and to ensure that suppliers are well prepared prior to publication of an official tender opportunity. MPS/Authority requirements for Long Public Order Shield (Lot 1) and Short Public Order Shield (Lot 2). Requirements/specifications to the specified shields can be found within the attached document titled [1] PPG-SOR-17-013 PO shields V1. Further information about the PIN and a list of documents can be found under document titled [November 2017.PIN]. This PIN also acts as an opportunity for suppliers to pre-test there shields with available UK testing houses prior to an official tender being published. It is important to note that the MPS will not carry out pre-testing of shields as part of this PIN notice or through a future tender opportunity therefore interested suppliers must pre-test their own shields against the testing criteria (as attached). Lot 1 [only] — Long Public Order Shield Please review attached document titled — [1] PPG-SOR-17-013 PO shields V1. This document will provide full scope of requirements for Long Public Order Shield. In addition and as part of the pre-testing criteria please also review attached documents titled: [2] PPG-MTD-12-036 Impact PO shields — V2 [3] PPG-MTD-12-039 Flame Petrol PO shields — V1 [4] PPG-MTD-12-040 PO shield — Chemical — V3 [5] PPG-MTD-12-041 — Force transfer — V3 Please note this PIN notice does not constitute to an award or auto enrolment onto a future OJEU notice for Lot 1 [only] — Long Public Order Shield. The purpose of this PIN notice is purely to engage with interested suppliers at this stage and advertise MPS/Authority requirements. This is also an opportunity for interested suppliers to use this PIN notice (with extended time) to carry out their pre-testing of Long Public Order Shields in readiness of publication of a future tender opportunity. The MPS/Authority envisaged to officially issue a contract notice (via OJEU) by 15/01/2018 (subject to change). Interested suppliers will need to respond to the OJEU notice (once published) in order to fully access tender response documents and participate in the official tender opportunity. Included in this PIN notice is a questionnaire which is optional for suppliers to complete. The MPS/Authority will use your response to help devise its strategy. If you do intend to complete the questionnaire please ensure it is sent back to the MPS/Authority via the EU Supply Portal by 17.11.2017 12:00. Further instructions in relation to the questionnaire can be found within the attached document titled [7] Pre-Market Consultation Questionnaire.
