Procurement of contracts regarding rent of KU-band satellite capacity

This Contract Award Notice only concerns Lot 1. The procurement, which was published under contract notice no. 2022/S 145-414163, consisted of two contracts, both covering rent of Ku-Band satellite communication capacity on a full-time basis via one serving satellite. The concerned satellite(s) shall facilitate communications between: - the Danish Hub and ships operating in the North Atlantic Ocean (Lot 1) - The Danish Hub and ships operating in the European Area (Lot 2). However, the tender of Lot 2 was cancelled and has since been re-tendered separately. Lot 1: Rent of KU-band satellite capacity in the North Atlantic Ocean The contract (Lot 1) shall cover: - the needed satellite capacity to facilitate communications between one hub earth station and up to 5 ships (remote earth stations); - telemetry, tracking and control services; - payload management services, responsibility for monitoring satellite carriers and for planning and controlling the users access to the serving satellite. The satellite shall facilitate communications between the Danish Hub and ships operating in the North Atlantic Ocean. The satellite capacity shall be able to facilitate communications between one hub earth station and up to 5 ships.
