Banedanmark har løbende behov for gennemførelse af feltundersøgelser og vurderinger af natur- og miljøpåvirkninger ved arbejde på jernbanen. Feltundersøgelserne skal kunne bruges som baggrundsviden til videre vurderinger i forbindelse med myndighedsbehandling, MKV-screeningsansøgninger og miljøkonsekvensvurderinger. Vurderinger af påvirkninger kan f.eks. omfatte en vurdering af påvirkninger fra anlægsarbejder på et enkelt § 3-område, vurdering af påvirkninger på vandforekomster som input til en screeningsansøgning eller udarbejdelse af en væsentlighedsvurdering. Udarbejdelse af miljøkonsekvensrapporter (MKR) og habitatkonsekvensvurderinger er ikke omfattet af dette rammeudbud.
