Published

Description

The Economic & Social Research Institute is requesting tenders for a multi-party framework for the recruitment of participants for behavioural research. The Behavioural Research Unit (BRU) at the ESRI is a multidisciplinary team of behavioural scientists that specialises in applying behavioural science to policy. BRU undertaken multiple online, laboratory and field experiments to investigate how people make relevant decisions across a range of areas. This tender process will establish a multi-party framework for the recruitment of participants for both online and in-person studies. Lot 1: A multi-party framework for the recruitment of participants for online behavioural studies. Recruitment of participants for online behavioural experiments. The Tenderer should hold its own panel of respondents (i.e. not routinely rely on third-party panels). Generally sample will be representative of the adult population in terms of age, gender, socioeconomic status and region of living (Dublin/Leinster/Munster/Connacht & Ulster). On occasion sample characteristics may differ i.e. young people or particular socio-economic groups. Sample size may range from 400 to 2000, depending on the experiment. Generally experiments will take 15 to 20 minutes. The ESRI will design and programme the experiment on our own online platform. The Tenderer will recruit participants from their panel, distribute the link for the experiment, and manage payment/incentive to the participants. Lot 2: A multi-party framework for the recruitment of participants for in-person behavioural studies Generally for in-person experiments the sample size will be 80 – 200 participants, representative of the adult population in terms of age, gender, socioeconomic status. They may be requested to participate in experiments at the ESRI premises in Dublin which will involve undertaking a computer-based decision task up to an hour in duration. Participants generally attend in-person at the ESRI offices, with up to 10 participants per session. On occasion, there may be requirements to recruit participants for sessions hosted outside of Dublin. The Tenderer will recruit the participants and provide them with advance information on behalf of the ESRI. The market research company will manage the administration and payment of participants.
