Description
The purpose of the procurement is to cover the needs of the Section for Forensic Genetics in Criminal Cases, the Department of Forensic Sciences at Oslo University Hospital Trust, for DNA extraction kits and consumables for manual extraction of DNA from trace samples collected in criminal cases. Lot 1-2.: Lot 1-2 DNA extraction kits for the Department of Forensic Sciences at Oslo University Hospital. The aim of the procurement is to cover the Section for Forensic Genetics in Criminal Cases, the Department of Forensic Sciences at Oslo University Hospital's need for DNA extraction kits and consumables for manual extraction of DNA from trace samples collected in criminal cases. The DNA extraction kits and consumables must be suitable for forensic genetic trace samples. The section receives approx. 25,000 trace samples a year, this volume has been stable in recent years. We have no knowledge of planned changes to the police's routines for sample taking, and therefore neither in the number of trace samples. The department is obliged to provide analysis results within a guaranteed delivery time. Predictability and correct deliveries of reagents and consumables are important. The scope of the procurement is estimated to be approx. 25,000 DNA extractions. To take a general increase in the need for trace samples due to population development etc., into account, as well as any changed sampling criteria, a maximum volume increase of 5-10% is assumed. The stated consumption/scope is an estimate for information to the tenderer, and is not binding for future contract volume.
