Launching in May 2025, the interactive toolkit will put transformative research and place-making tools into the hands of communities and cross-sector audiences up and down the UK. The tender activity is anticipated to begin in October 2024 and last for up to 7 months, but shorter suggested timelines will be considered if delivery plans can be appropriately evidenced. Toolkit Aims: Collaborative partners need help to navigate co-working, find each other, form new relationships, and find ways to come together to tackle shared challenges through creative interventions. Developing a Creative Communities toolkit – an Open Access resource for collaborative partners with diverse users’ needs in mind – will address the gap that currently exists in providing best practice and empowering communities. The AHRC Creative Communities toolkit will sit alongside the other year 3 Creative Communities sharing activities – all-nations and all-regions policy sprints, public-facing events, phase three policy recommendations and Community Innovation Practitioner podcasts and case studies. Tender Requirements: We are requesting a detailed quote for the design, development and delivery of 2 PDF best practice guides and 2 interactive toolkit modules. The interactive modules must be capable of capturing data on user behaviour as they respond to module information and must measure understanding at the beginning and end as a form of e-assessment. All 4 toolkit modules must: • Bring to life and animate a package of written research content supplied by the AHRC Creative Communities team from our programme workstreams, on the following areas: 1.Creative Communities: Graphic-designed PDF illustrating best practice in creating cross sector collaborations 2. Community Innovation: Interactive module on culture, co-creation and methods of working 3. Solution Suggestions: Graphic-designed PDF co-designing policy in devolved contexts 4. Inclusive Innovation: Interactive module on culture and R&D at a local level • Be designed as Open Access resources, produced with diverse users’ needs and accessibility in mind • Be translatable across English and Welsh, with downloadable and printable formats for PDFs – while the AHRC Creative Communities website will translate English text into Welsh, we will need to send PDFs for translation, and this will need to be factored into timings during the planning stage • Empower communities to find each other, form new relationships, find ways to come together to tackle shared challenges, collaborate to produce creative interventions, communicate with cross-sector audiences including policymakers, co-evaluate, and carry out new cultural work • Modules will be embedded in, and all resulting data must be captured via, the AHRC Creative Communities website. To ensure compliance with Northumbria University’s data policies we ask that data capture and any software, apps, or other digital solutions used comply with GDPR and our Research Data Management policies. A privacy policy and data use case for the modules, for participant transparency, will be prepared with Northumbria University’s DPO. • The AHRC Creative Communities website is Wordpress – all content created must be compatible with this web content management system. It must be possible to access user pathways and engagement data from the modules. • Modules must comply with AHRC Creative Communities, AHRC and Northumbria University brand guidelines and use existing AHRC Creative Communities brand assets. The 2 interactive modules must: • Include a quiz element at the end of modules to capture data on learnings and evidence the impact of these modules • Module options can include animated films, videos, slide cards, interactive learning journeys, or modules with gamification elements. We welcome further creative ideas from suppliers. We are not looking for podcasts or audio-only delivery mechanisms. The AHRC Creative Communities research team can be available to participate in recording video if required.
