The DPC have a number of website based systems, the main DPC website, the forms website and a web based ticketing system. The Main Website was implemented in 2018 and a redesign of the website was completed in 2020. The website is used as a platform for driving awareness of organisations’ data-protection obligations, and informing individuals of their data protection rights through the provision of information and guidance to members of the public (data subjects) and to organisations with data protection obligations (data controllers/processors). The Main Website is built on Drupal content management software The Forms Website was implemented in 2018 and a redesign of the website was completed in 2021. The website provides an online service, through the use of webforms, and allows members of the public and organisations to submit data protection breaches, complaints and enquiries etc. to the DPC. The Forms Website is a be-spoke web application built on a LAMP application stack and a Laravel framework. The DPC Web Based Ticketing System is a commercially off the shelf tool that is based on Ruby on Rails and is hosted on the DPC tenancy in a 3rd party Data Centre. The DPC ticketing system is used internally by DPC staff and a select group of 3rd party suppliers. The purpose of this RFT is to procure a managed service provider to provide maintenance and support for the DPC Website based systems. Hosting is not in scope for this tender competition, the successful tenderer will be expected to support the DPC Websites and ticketing systems from the OS layer up, including the Drupal Content Management Software and all the applications that make up the bespoke forms website and ticketing system. The new contract will be effective from the 1st June 2024 for the Term of the Contract and aligned with the service requirements defined in this RFT.
