St James’s Hospital have a requirement to upgrade it’s current molecular laboratory information management system (LIMS) EXPRESSION OF INTEREST REQUEST. St James’s Hospital have a requirement to upgrade it’s current molecular laboratory information management system (LIMS) Expressions of interest are being sought for the following: Provision of a molecular laboratory information management system for a period of not less than 10 years. Vendors must be able to point to reference sites that process molecular pathology, molecular genetic and cytogenetic samples that have achieved ISO 15189 accreditation and that use the proposed LIMS as the primary software for booking-in, tracking, work listing and reporting. The following are the minimum requirements for the system: Capable of tracking all laboratory samples from book-in to reporting Capable of handling multiple samples per case and multiple extractions per sample. Capable of allocating and tracking sample storage locations based on laboratory defined storage location guidelines Capable of digitally storing scanned information about the request such as request and/or consent forms. Capable of printing sample labels to facilitate traceable manual processing Capable of interfacing with the full range of expected molecular instrumentation to include QIASymphony extraction systems, Hamilton robotics, nucleic acid quantitation systems and other laboratory equipment. Capable of importing flat files from analytical software and presenting data for reporting Capable of interfacing with Cerner EPR and Powerchart to both receive requests and demographics and to publish reports as either text or formatted (pdf) reports. In addition to the above the scope of works will involve data migration from the current LIMS to the proposed LIMS which must be completed within year 1 of the installation with the cost for the migration being spread over 5 years. Please confirm your interest and capability of delivering the above scope of works both in technical requirements and within the specified timeframe.
