Description

Havforskningsinstituttet [the Marine Research Institute] (Contracting Authority) intends to purchase a bottom-mounted platform to observe the behaviour of fish and their interaction with predators in relation to environmental conditions including sound. Lot 1: The platform will measure ambient sounds and biological sounds, current profiles, turbidity and environmental variables such as temperature, salinity and oxygen (see the tender documentation section 6). The platform will initially be deployed for one year as a stand-alone solution, which requires batteries and internal data storage for a period of at least one year, with a minimum described operating cycle and sensitivity requirements. In the future, however, it will be connected to a floating buoy that provides power and transmits data in real-time. This should therefore be possible with minimal adjustments. All sensors should therefore be prepared for future data and power connections. The platform should be prepared for the additional installation of an echo sounder (see the tender documentation section 6) which will be installed by IMR after delivery. The platform should include a solution to time-synchronise the data from the sensors on the platform with the data from the echo sounder. IMR will deploy the platform at Hywind Tampen after underwater testing.
