Description
Summary of work Why is the work being done? The Greenwich Integrated Therapy service offers children and young people with speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy services. Their website serves as a one-stop destination for parents, carers, children, young people, and professionals, providing a wealth of advice, information, and resources. The primary objective of the site is to empower individuals to take control of their health by providing them with the necessary tools to manage their conditions, which could lead to a decrease in the number of patients seeking our services and consequently freeing up our clinicians' time. Who are the users and what do they need to do? The website is designed to cater to a diverse group of users, including children, young people, parents, caregivers, schools, and other professionals, such as GPs, who interact with children. The interface is user-friendly, allowing users to easily navigate and identify their purpose for visiting the site. Additionally, the website features an online referral form, which can be conveniently completed by users whenever required. Essential Requirements The primary objective of the website is to serve as a hub for inquiries and advice. We envision the site as a comprehensive platform that provides users with easy access to self-help resources, including videos and tips, as well as links to other helpful websites. Additionally, the site will serve as a practical tool for professionals to assist in providing necessary support to our service users. To streamline the referral process, we plan to incorporate a form that will allow parents/caregivers and professionals to submit referrals directly to our service email address. The form will be designed to recognize user responses, redirecting them to a relevant page on the site if a referral is not deemed necessary. The website's structure will enable users to identify themselves, specify the age range of the patient they require advice/support for, and indicate the relevant setting. Based on these inputs, users will be presented with a personalized set of options to choose from, offering them relevant self-help resources, advice, videos, and other tools. We will require a functionality for data analytics to help us report on website traffic to inform feature articles and target specific cohorts or needs depending on areas of the site being accessed. Website mediums To instil confidence in the advice offered through the website, we intend to incorporate visual media, such as images and videos, that will resonate with our service users. These mediums will be utilized on the website to provide an engaging and interactive experience for users, helping to enhance their understanding and retention of the information provided. In addition, we aim to investigate the feasibility of an interactive form that could be utilized as a last resort by GPs and service users when initial advice is inadequate. This form would serve as a means of addressing more complex issues, offering personalized support and guidance to users who require it. Accessibility The website should be designed to be accessible to all users and allow them to navigate the site with ease on all electronic devices including phones, tablets, and laptops/desktops. Security The website will need to be secure using all the latest security methods available. All information will need to secure in transit and at rest. The infrastructure will need to be current and regularly updated, plus located within the UK. Supplier criteria The supplier will need experience in creating complex digital forms for users to complete. They should be able to create an integrated form that allows users to complete the questions asked but also navigates them to other site areas or signposts when certain responses are given.
