Emergency accommodation for homeless households Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of emergency accommodation for those owed a homelessness duty by Swindon Borough Council. Project Description Swindon Borough council are seeking providers who can supply the Authority with accommodation for homeless people. There is an intent to place a 2 year contract which may be extended for a further 2 periods each of a year subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement Lot 1- 14 ( fourteen ) units which are capable of accommodating a single person/couple and that have shared facilities – bathrooms and kitchens. Each unit should have a bed, storage for clothes and personal effects Each unit should have easy access to a bathroom (including bath/shower, washbasin and toilet ). Lot 2- 8 ( eight ) units which are capable of accommodating a single person/couple and that can have shared facilities – bathrooms and kitchens. Each unit should have a bed, storage for clothes and personal effects Each unit should have easy access to a bathroom (including bath/shower, washbasin and toilet . These units are for the homeless who have low to medium needs Lot 3 – 25 ( twenty five ) units which are capable of accommodating household sizes from a single person up to 4 occupants with bathrooms and kitchen/kitchenette. Each unit should have a bed(s) , storage for clothes and personal effects Each unit should have their own facilities which include a bathroom (with bath/shower, washbasin and toilet) and a kitchenette/space for cooking. This space should provide cooking facilities ( microwave/ hob, sink and refrigerator. Lot 4 – 5 (five) units which are capable of accommodating household sizes from a single person up to 5 occupants with bathrooms and kitchen/kitchenette. Each unit should have a bed(s), storage for clothes and personal effects. Each unit should have their own facilities which include a bathroom (with bath/shower, washbasin and toilet) and a kitchenette/space for cooking. This space should provide cooking facilities ( microwave/ hob, sink and refrigerator Estimated contract spend is between £2,985,700 and £ 5,971,400 across the total contract term including the two years extension. Full details relating to the Services are provided in the tender documents. To participate, Suppliers will need to Register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the tender documents. The Council’s responses to these clarification questions will be issued periodically on the ProContract tender portal.
